Graphic Designer – Heritage Signage Program for a Renovated Drottninggatan Property

As a freelance graphic designer and art director, I was commissioned to develop a signage program following the facade renovation of a historic property on Drottninggatan in Stockholm. My role involved:

Concept & Design: Creating a cohesive signage system that respected the building’s heritage while introducing a refined, contemporary expression. This included stripped-back facade signs and custom hand-drawn, period-style brass brackets for the projecting signs.

Collaboration & Craftsmanship: Working closely with stakeholders and fabricators to ensure that design intent translated seamlessly into physical execution, with a strong focus on materials and detailing.

Precision & Consistency: Overseeing the final production to ensure accuracy in typography, proportions, and finishes, maintaining a high level of quality across all signage elements.

Refined Signage for a Historic Setting on Drottninggatan:

The final signage program created a cohesive and understated visual expression that enhanced the character of the renovated property while respecting its historical context. The stripped-back facade signs and custom brass brackets contributed to a timeless streetscape presence, strengthening the building’s identity and elevating its architectural detailing.
